This course consists of various examples of computer-based experiments in science
teaching, including computerised laboratory practice and models of
computer controlled devices. The experiments and models are interpreted
with simulations, video clips, etc. Although the chapters could be
categorised as physics, biology and chemistry, the various activities
involved are designed to integrate science disciplines through experiments.
Numerous examples in the course combine hands-on experiments
in a real laboratory with a so called virtual laboratory based on
computer simulations. However, a real-time experiment is always the
starting point while the virtual approach is used to develop a model
of the physical phenomenon under investigation.
